  • When is AORS?
    • AORS will take place on 16-18 October 2018.
  • Where is AORS taking place?
    • AORS will be held at the Mallette Training Facility on Aberdeen Proving Ground. 
    • The address is  6008 Jayhawk Rd. All activities aside from the social events will be held here.
  • What is this year's theme?
    • This year's theme is “Bigger, Better, Stronger,” as in Bigger Data, Better Acquisition, and Stronger Bonds throughout the Army Analytical Community
  • Can I come to AORS and not attend social activities?
    • Yes! The social activities are not mandatory but a way to network and collaborate outside of the symposium. There will be some great breakout sessions and discussions with some industry leaders. The Hall of Fame banquet is a way to honor those who have made major contribution to the operations research field.
  • What is the dress code for AORS?
    • The daytime dress code for military is Army Combat Uniform and for civilians business casual. For anyone attending the Hall of Fame Banquet the dress is business casual (suit coat / dress pants / dress) for civilians and military
  • When are abstracts due? 
    • The Abstract Submission period is closed.
  • When will notifications be sent for abstract acceptance?
    • All accepted abstract authors will be notified by 13 August. 
  • When are briefing due?
    • Final AORS briefings are due 14 September.
    • The briefings will not be shared digitally. If you are interested in a specific brief, please contact that briefer to request a copy.
  • Can I come to AORS for one day only?
    • Yes, though it is preferred for everyone to come and participate each day.
  • Can I come to AORs if I am a contractor?
    •  Yes, all contractor attendees must be command-sponsored, nominated by a government principal, and be a presenter or a co-author of a presentation.
  • Can I come to AORS if I am a foreign national?
    • Yes, all foreign national attendees must have a U.S. Army analytical community sponsorship and complete the CECOM Visitor Request Form.
    • AORS Attendance is to be limited to: U.S. military personnel, U.S. government civilian personnel, Contractor personnel – with government sponsorship and Foreign Nationals – with U.S. Army analytical community sponsorship.
